"Tradition!!! Tradition"...
BaahBOOTS are rooted in the centuries-old felt-making traditions of Eastern Europe and Asia. The inspiration for the BaahBOOTS came from the ethnic Eastern European felt boots “valenki”, with at least a 200 year history, made of 100% sheep’s wool. These boots are hand-felted in one piece without any seams, and are extremely light. In the process of wearing, such boots conform to the shape of the wearer’s foot, eliminating all pressure points on sensitive spots, like bunions.
BaahBOOTS are handmade by an artisan of local sheep’s wool. BaahBOOTS are natural, breathable, therapeutic, exceptionally soft and light minimalist footwear. BaahBOOTS have a unique seamless one-piece construction. Each pair is a designer piece made totally by hand just for you.
Handmade Felt is a natural non-woven material made out of sheep's wool fiber, in which each strand of fiber has been touched by human hands literally hundreds of times. Altogether, the process of making a pair of shoes is hours-long labor of love. The videos below show snippets of the shoe felting process.
